Vicki Wriston Obituary
Vicki Wriston, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 73. Born on April 27, 1952, in Kannapolis, NC, Vicki brought warmth, kindness, and an unwavering spirit to all who knew her.
After dedicating many years of her early professional life, Vicki found great joy working as a server at Libby's BBQ Pitstop Restaurant. There, she became a beloved presence with many loyal, regular customers who appreciated her warm smile and caring nature.
Vicki was a skilled artisan who spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces that are treasured by family and friends. Her hands were never idle, and her heart was always open. She was a devoted member of the Wesleyan Church.
Her family and friends lovingly described her as an "angel" who consistently ensured that everyone was well taken care of, both physically and emotionally. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the pillars of her family, providing comfort, stability, and endless love to her loved ones. Vicki is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy "Dot" and Leon "Shorty" Overcash; her biological father, Robert Franklin Isom; and her brother, Tony Isom.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her devoted husband of many years, Lundy A. Wriston, Sr.; her beloved son, Lundy A. Wriston, II; her adored grandchildren, Cody A. Wriston and Elizabeth K. Wriston; and her precious great-granddaughter, Gracie Wriston. She is also survived by her siblings, Kim Orbison and Alan Shane Overcash; and her half-sisters, Maureen Daniels and Evelyn Tegenkamp.
Her family has entrusted Vicki's care to Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
