Vickie Kay Cook, 73, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Vickie was born on February 19, 1952, in Aptos, California, to Orville Thomas Johnston and Oleta Maxine (Williams) Johnston. She later made her home in Arkansas, where she shared nearly 40 years of marriage with her late husband, Scotty Cook. A hardworking woman, Vickie was self-employed for much of her life, cleaning homes. She had a passion for singing and camping and was known for her creative spirit as an artist. Vickie cherished time spent with her family along with every family gathering. At Heritage Heights, she was affectionately known as "Mama Bear." A true social butterfly, Vickie never met a stranger and brought light and laughter wherever she went. Vickie will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Cooke; her mother, Oleta Maxine Williams Johnston; her father, Orville Thomas Johnston; her granddaughter, Kaylynn Marie Cook; her brother, Dennis Ray Johnston. She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Lynn Stanley (Dustin) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Wendy Rene Cox (Robert) of Westmoreland, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Sandra Paige Simonian of Gainesville, Florida, and Samantha Rene Williamson (Derek) of Westville, Oklahoma; one grandson, Dustin Jay Watts, of Westville, Oklahoma; three brothers, Kelly Eugene Johnston (Verna) of Clovis, California, Kenty Johnston (Betty) of Rogers, Arkansas, and Teddy Ray Johnston (Sherry) of Fresno, California; numerous loving nieces and nephews.
