Vickie A. Fowlkes, age 73 of Beebe, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1952, in Searcy, Arkansas to Irey and Ann Knox.
She retired from the Beebe Public School System where she taught for twenty-seven years. Vickie was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Beebe. She loved to read, especially her Bible, loved birdwatching and her plants. Her idol was Elvis, and she loved her family.
Vickie is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (John) Hammond of Beebe; son, Stephen (Rebecca) Fowlkes of Muldrow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Victoria (Andrew) Foreman, Emily (Nathan) Mayhugh, Maygun (Paul) Butler, Ronald Benny Harvey, and Trey Fowlkes; 2 great grandchildren, Andrea Foreman and Hazel Pettway; brother, Larry (Debra) Knox; sister-in-law, Virginia Cunningham; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Johnny Ray Knox.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 3rd from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe to be followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe.
