Vickie Lee Hilderbrant, age 74, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2025 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Dale LeRoy & Barbara Jean (Bradley) Gender, she was born on September 2, 1951 in Greenville, Michigan. On October 24, 1970 at Settlement Lutheran Church in Gowen, she married Douglas J. Hilderbrant, and together they enjoyed just over fifty-five years of marriage and raised two children. She was a 1969 graduate of Greenville High School and was the heart and soul of her family.
To know Vickie was to love her. She had a huge heart and always put other people before herself. She enjoyed spending time with friends during events with the Greenville Corvette Club and especially delighted in going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale & Barb Gender; a brother, Alan Gender; her parents-in-law, Cecil Hilderbrant and Ethel Mason; and two brothers-in-law, Phillip J. Hilderbrant and John G. Wahlse, Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Doug Hilderbrant of Greenville; their daughter, Bobbi Jo Caswell of Greenville; their son, Kevin & Rebecca Hilderbrant of Greenville; five grandchildren, Kaiden & Casey Hilderbrant, Jenna Caswell and her fiancé, Scott Becksvoort, Kullen Hilderbrant, Halley Hilderbrant, and Kaitlyn Caswell; four great-grandchildren, Claire, Miya, Theo, and Neela; her uncle, Bruce Gender; a sister-in-law, Pam Gender; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family is from 5 –8 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Christiansen’s Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville.
