Marshall Funeral Home - GreenvilleCaroline Witt age 90 passed away Thursday October 30, 2025 at her home in Greenville, Michigan, under the care of Corewell Health Hospice. She was the daughter of Donald and Mary Leggett. Prior to moving to Greenville, Caroline lived with her husband, Dorrell, in Venice, Florida where they enjoyed the friendships they made along with breakfast at Patches and family beach and pool time. Caroline loved going to Las Vegas and casinos, and spending time at Higgins Lake. She enjoyed having her grandchildren visit and going to Disney World.
Before moving to Florida Caroline was a long time resident of Grand Ledge, Michigan where she and Dorrell owned their own business and raised their 6 children.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Carole) Witt of Grand Ledge, Michigan, Elizabeth (Tom) Kreiner of Greenville, Michigan and Patrick (Katie) Witt of Cape Coral, Florida as well as her daughter in-law Debbie Witt of Deltona, Florida and son in law Richard Carter of North Carolina. Caroline is also survived by her grandchildren Thaddeus (Sarah) Wiseman, Meredith Wiseman, Wittney Carter, Chelsea (Trevor) Martin, Collin Witt, Cal Kreiner, Christian Witt and Elise (Caleb) Dassinger, and great grandson Isaac Wiseman.
Caroline is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dorrell Witt and daughters Michelle Witt of Bend, Oregon, Doreen Carter of Cary, North Carolina and Darrin Witt of Deltona Florida.
We will celebrate her life with a visitation beginning at 11:00 on November 22, 2025 at the First Congregational Church in Greenville, Michigan with a service following at 12:00. A luncheon will be served in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.
