MARION - Vickie Lynn Hoffard, 69, of Marion, died at 5:25 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
She spent many years working as a housekeeper at the Regal 8 Hotel, as well as a dining assistant at the Illinois Centre Mall in Marion.
She was a member at First Baptist Church of Energy.
She is survived by her daughter, Felicia Doss of Grand Forks, South Dakota; and son, Tommy Lee Hoffard of Johnston City; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, Gayla Smith of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas Hoffard; two brothers; and one sister. Her parents were Archie and Dorothy Garris.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion.
In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held at this time. The family will hold a celebration of life service at Victory Baptist Church in Carterville at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to "The Lighthouse Shelter." Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or donations may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court St., Marion, IL 62959.
