Vicki Jackson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on March 26, 1947, in Boise, Idaho, to George and Eva Wilson.
A true free spirit, Vicki’s adventurous heart carried her to many places across the United States, though she made her home primarily in Eufaula, Alabama, and DeFuniak Springs, Florida. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, where her faith was a steady source of strength, and she served her community as a board member of the Walton County Health Department.
Vicki had a deep love for her family and for life’s simple joys. Some of her children’s fondest memories are of watching her dance and her going all out on special occasions. She always cooked, crafted and decorated for the holidays, which she always celebrated with enthusiasm and style. A gifted crafter, Vicki poured her creativity into countless projects over the years, filling her home with beautiful handmade treasures that reflected her passion and imagination.
She also found peace and happiness outdoors - enjoying fishing, camping, and quiet moments in nature. In her downtime, she loved to relax with a good movie, always appreciating the stories that brought people together.
Vicki is survived by her children, Stacey Tanksley and George Morris; her grandchildren, Shea Jackson, Dillion Tanksley, Jeffrey Morris, Amy Morris, and April Morris; and her great-grandchild, Damon Jackson. She also leaves behind her brother, Alan Wilson, and sisters, Nicky Wilson and Georgia Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Jackson, and her brothers, Bruce and Reno Wilson.
Vicki lived life on her own terms—strong, independent, and endlessly resourceful. She could fix just about anything and always found a way to make the best of every situation. Her warmth, creativity, and love for her family will be remembered forever by all who knew her.
Rest in peace sweet Vicki
