Vickie Sue Jenkins (Sissy), 65 of Blueridge, Texas passed away on November 19, 2013 at Medical City of Dallas after a 3 year battle with cancer. Sissy was born on August 27, 1948 in Bedford, Indiana to Beulah Allen-Jenkins and Richard James Jenkins. She retired from city of Garland in 2009 after more than 25 years of service; she devoted most of her life to her work and being in the service of others. She was a devoted friend to all she knew; even though she had no children of her own she loved all the children as if they were her own. She rescued and adopted many animals to give them shelter, love and a place to call home. She was an exemplary example of service to thy neighbor, some she knew and others she did not but still served them with all her heart. She was partial to all who suffered, survived and succumbed to cancer. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Flossie Ann Mullins-Allen and Frances Jefferson Allen, and paternal grandparents, her father Richard J. Jenkins, her stepfather Jerry L. Rausch, her Uncles Forrest Homer Allen, Paul Jefferson Allen, and Aunt Janet Allen. She is survived by her mother Beulah L. Rausch of Maryville, Tennessee, brothers Richard J. Jenkins (Melissa) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Donnie Jenkins of Clinton, Indiana and stepsister Christine Shelton (Paul) of Alvin, Texas, her Aunt Rhetta Allen and Aunt Elaine French (Alfred), her Nephews and Niece, great-nephews and great-nieces. Sissy was the most tender-hearted person, she never knew a stranger, and she would always lend a helping hand in any way she could. Mommy loves you Sissy and she is really, really sure.
