Vickie Noser Obituary

Vickie Funk Noser, 64, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Front Royal, VA, on March 13, 1961, to Violet Burner Funk and Luther Henry Funk, Vickie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Vickie graduated from Warren County High School in 1979 and later achieved Magna Cum Laude honors at Lord Fairfax (Laurel Ridge) Community College. Her distinguished career in accounting spanned several successful organizations, including Riverton Corporation, Quarles Petroleum, and Northwestern Community Services.

Vickie's warm heart and generous spirit were evident in her many volunteer activities, including the Front Royal Jaycees. Beyond her professional life, she enjoyed a vibrant personal life filled with gardening, volleyball, line dancing, Texas Hold 'Em, and traveling. However, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother above all else.

Vickie was happily married to her beloved husband of 39 years, John Noser. She is also survived by her children: Jonathan Noser of Luray, VA; Keith Noser (Rachel) of Front Royal, VA; and Marissa Andrick (Jared) of Fredericksburg, VA; and her seven cherished grandchildren: Shalyn Noser, Landen Noser, Sebastian Noser, Alexa Andrick, Adelyn Andrick, Connor Andrick, and Colin Noser. She is further survived by her siblings: June Cook, Peggy Kyger, Roger Funk, Connie Knepper, Barbara Shuler, Ruth Cook, William Funk, and half-sister Judy Fordyce. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Joyce Harris.

In retirement, Vickie and John embarked on numerous adventures, traveling to Ireland, Austria, Italy, Germany, Hawaii, Aruba, Mount Rushmore, the Tetons, Florida, Las Vegas, and enjoying cruises to various destinations. These journeys reflect her adventurous spirit and deep love for her husband.

Vickie will be remembered for her loving and kind nature, her infectious sense of humor, and the profound impact she had on the lives of all who knew her. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts that will never be truly filled. She will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Vickie's life will be held at Riverton Church in Front Royal, VA, on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at noon. A reception and lunch will follow.

Honorary pallbearers will include Roger Funk, Billy Funk, Jonathan Noser, Keith Noser, Jared Andrick, and Landen Noser, whose love and lifelong bond meant the world to her and her family.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Amedisys Foundation, whose support brought comfort and care to Vickie and her loved ones.

Vicki was the best little sister. She was so loved and will be missed terribly. I have so many wonderful memories from our childhood and her frequent visits to my house and me to her home. She loved life and her family.

Vickie was unable to meet anyone .... unless there was a hug involved. Her warm and welcoming spirit made you feel at ease and looking forward to spending time with her and the family. Always ready with a smile and a laugh, even at the silly jokes supplied by her husband, she could also be insightful and caring. Caring for and about her family came naturally to Vickie. That was a trait apparent at all times. As I considered what to add on the Legacy site I thought to include a good photo of her. Lacking skill as a photographer I had none, but there was one thing I did notice. There were no photos of her alone. Always, always with family. I am grateful to have known her. May she rest in peace.

Vickie and I played adult soccer together where we became quick friends. We enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ireland (purely by chance) many years ago. Vickie was such a sweetheart. Such a kind, loving, funny and sweet hearted person. Vickie will surely be missed by everyone she had a connection with.
