Vickie Lynn Roop

Vickie Lynn Roop aka Muffy 66, of Conroe, Texas, passed away at home on January 6, 2023 after a five-year battle with renal cancer. She was born on August 30, 1956 in Lubbock, TX where she was raised by her paternal grandparents along with three of her brothers.
In 1974, Vickie had her son, Joey. Later she married the love of her life, Steve and got another son (Shane) and daughter (Kelley) in the deal. She moved with Steve to his home state of Maryland, where she ran her own tanning salon business for 13 years. Vickie and Steve enjoyed being part of the Knights motorcycle club. They loved to vacation in the Bahamas. Steve also converted her into a huge Baltimore Raven fan much to the dismay of her Dallas Cowboy loving Texas relatives. In 2017, they retired back to Vickie's home state of Texas to be closer to their kids and grandkids. She loved being in the kitchen either cooking for or baking with her grandkids.
Vickie was preceded in death by her sweet dogs, Harley & Shadow, sugar glider Gizmo, three of her brothers, and her father. Remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Steve Roop & sweet dog Sassy; her son, Joey Collins & granddaughter, Sky Collins; son, Shane (Kari) Roop; granddaughter, Mayah Roop & grandson, William Roop; daughter, Kelley (Jock) Reed & grandson, Landon Reed; her mother, Faye Golden; brother, Michael Golden; brother, Fletcher (Anh) Golden; brother, James Golden; brother-in-law, Scott Roop; sister-in-law, Jan Roop Stambaugh; brother-in-law, Sam (Mary Jane) Roop; as well as many nieces & nephews and lots of friends all over the country.
