Vickie Hartness Wilkes, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Danny Wilkes, her parents, and her brother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kim Reid and her husband Eric, and Tara Jenkins and her husband Brad; four grandchildren, Brady and Brennan King, and Halle and Chase Jenkins; her sister, Pat Bovender; and her lifelong best friend, Pam Jackson. She also leaves behind many friends and family members who loved her deeply.

Vickie was known for her strong work ethic, quiet strength, and the love she showed in everything she did. She worked for many years at Purolator, where she was respected for her dedication and kindness. She always cared about others and had a way of making people feel important and appreciated. At home, she was the heart of her family — steady, caring, and devoted to those she loved. Her gentle nature, compassion, and selfless spirit will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at Kernersville’s Eastlawn Gardens of Memory on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Steve Roberson. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor her life and memory.
