Vicky Lynn (Pasley) Cote`, 71, of Meriden passed away on January 2, 2026 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka with family and friends by her side. She was born on February 1, 1954 in San Bonito, Texas to Russell and Mildred “Swede Zachariasen.
Vicky married Mike Cote` at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden on September 2, 2006.
She was a member of the first class to graduate from Royal Valley High School in 1972. Vicky worked for the United States Postal Service for over 32 years before retiring.
Vicky found simple pleasures in sitting outside watching the hummingbirds and her flowers grow. She loved getting together with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Russell and Mildred” Swede” Pasley of Hoyt, Kansas.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Cote` of Meriden; step-son, Cory Cote` and wife Erin of Lawrence; sister, Theresa Campbell and her companion Brian Courter; nieces and nephews, Aleah Funez (Kevin) of Olathe, Sarah Capps (Michael) of Shawnee, Kansas, Levi Campbell of Meriden, Kansas, Joshua Campbell of Breckenridge, Missouri; brother-in-law Donnie Campbell of Meriden, Kansas; uncles, Delbert Zachariasen of Meriden, Kansas, Vernice Zacharasen (Karen) of Bonner Springs, Kansas; aunts Pat Pasley of Topeka, Grace Pasley of Silver Lake, Kansas and Rosylee Rogers (Fred) of Lawrence, Kansas; and Mike’s aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited beginning at 3:30 pm on Sunday January 11, 2026 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden. Following the rosary, the family will receive friends from 4-6 pm at the church in Meriden. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery west of Meriden. Memorial contributions may be sent to Autism Speaks. Parker-Price and Davidson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
