Vicky Joyce Braswell Davis
was born in Marks, Mississippi on March 2, 1964, the daughter of Bonnie Irene Hunt Braswell and the late Sivert Jarondal Braswell.
On November 25, 1992 she was united in marriage to Mike Davis, who survives.
Vicky worked as a cook for the Hardin County Board of Education. She had previously worked for 20 years at Angelica Manufacturing. In her spare time Vicky enjoyed reading, politics, playing with the family pets, watching forensic tv documentaries, and spending time on her Ipad, where she would share lost pets on Facebook. One of her greatest loves was the children at the school where she worked, she cared for them greatly.
Vicky departed this life on Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 59 years, 10 months, and 25 days.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, Mike of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by her two daughters, Chelsea Stricklin (Jeremiah), and Emily Davis, both of Florence, Alabama; mother, Bonnie Irene Braswell of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Janice Carns of Peamont, Iowa, Karla Appleton of Bernie, Missouri, Pansy Helton of Iuka, Mississippi, and Amy Enlow of Iuka, Mississippi; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her granddogs, Rosie Davis and Poppie Stricklin.
Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Sivert Braswell; son, James Darrell Pogue; and brother, Larry Braswell.
