Vicky Lynn Huneycutt

1952 - 2025

Vicky Lynn Huneycutt, 72, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Stanly Manor.
She was born November 30, 1952 in Oklahoma to the late Olin Crawford Huneycutt and the late Ruth Arlene Huneycutt.
Vicky was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, who spent most of her time traveling and enjoying the world. She graduated from West Stanly High School in 1971.
After graduation she pursued a career in Physical Therapy from Central Piedmont Community College. Vicky spent many years in the Stanly and Rowan County School systems where she enjoyed working with children.
Throughout the years she enjoyed collecting dolls from different countries and places that she visited. She enjoyed her many years of living on the lake, shopping and spending times with her friends, her time at the Senior Center and taking care of her two dogs.
Vicky was an active member of the Oakboro United Methodist Church where she adored her church friends.
The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Oakboro United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Oakboro United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Gene Moore. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.
Survivors include sisters, Angie Huneycutt (John) Earnhardt of Albemarle, NC and Tammy Thomas of Oakboro, NC; her nieces and nephew Adrienne Averette (Kevin), Ryan Thomas (Courtney), Kelly Lentz (Charlie) and Abby Thomas (Zane Stokes); and great-nieces and nephew Ella and Maddie Averette, Nara and Lenni Thomas, and Will and Lanie Lentz. She also leaves behind two loving companions Lady and Scamp.
