Vicky R. Ojard, 70, Knife River, died Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Aspirus-St. Luke’s Hospital.
Vicky was born March 2, 1955 to Wendell “Skip” and Mary Ann (Falk) Bissell, grew up in Knife River, and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1973. She married Gary Ojard on August 24, 1974, and they lived in Aurora for several years, returning to Knife River in 1991. While living in Aurora, she worked as a store manager for 7-Eleven and was twice honored as manager of the year. After the birth of her son, Nicholas, she was a homemaker through the years, and later worked at Canelake Candy Kitchen in Knife River.
Vicky enjoyed attending classic car shows and cruises with Gary, and more recently, time with her grandson. Over the years, Vicky loved decorating her home for all holidays and hosting family parties.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, Skip and Mary Ann Bissell; her son, Nicholas Ojard; parents-in-law, Hans and Jacqueline Ojard; and brother-in-law, Neil Ojard.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Ojard; daughter-in-law, Christine; grandson, Landon; a brother, Tad (Shelley) Bissell and his family; and her good friend, Luann Peters.
