Vicky Pruitt Obituary
Vicky was born April 18, 1973, in Surry County to the late Sam Hamby and Linda Upchurch Hamby.
Vicky was a loving wife, mother, and Nanna. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking beach trips, and going on long rides through the mountains.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Billy Pruitt of the home; a son, Dalton Lee Pruitt (Kelly) of Moravian Falls; a daughter, Hannah Danielle Pruitt (Morgan Brown) of Hickory; a brother, Chris Hamby (Wendy); two sisters, Denise Hamby (Melvin Morrison) and April Gentry (Joey); five grandchildren, Olivia, Raylyn, Trever, Raylee, and Audrey; two sisters-in-law, Lory Hodges (Aldon) and Lynn Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be conducted by Joshua Barnes at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist with funeral expenses.
