Vicky L. Ramsey, 76, Marathon passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Meadows of Marathon while under the care of Heartland Hospice.
She was born February 26, 1949 in Wausau, daughter of the late Jerome and Pearl (Church) Brickner.
Vicky worked in many roles throughout her career. She was a licensed beautician, spent several years in data entry, and most recently in customer service and sales. She had a knack for building relationships with customers.
Vicky enjoyed spending countless hours planting flowers, oil-painting, ceramics, travelling, sewing, photography, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She saw beauty in almost everything she looked at. She had an adventurous and thrill seeking personality. She never passed up an opportunity to parasail, zipline, or take a dip in the ocean. She enjoyed traveling to other countries to experience their culture and explore their surroundings. She will be remembered as someone who never met a stranger, big-hearted, and dedicated to God. Her love for her family and God was unending.
Survivors include her children, John (Patty) Ramsey, Grayslake, IL and Jody (Melissa) Ramsey, Weston, WI, five grandchildren (Tia, Dylan, Blake, Joey, and Ethan), her siblings, Carol (Jim) Studzinski, Lorraine Wilichowski, Ginger Weiks and Gail (Steve) Studinski and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne, Ray, and Jerry Brickner and a sister, Romayne Breaman.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Msgr. Jospeh Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
