Vicky L. Tate (Smith), of Burnham, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, into the loving arms of her father, George A. Smith, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 8, 2010, after a two-and-a-half-year-long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Michael R. Tate, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. His devotion and loving care will be remembered by her family and friends as an act of true and unwavering love.

She is also survived by her daughters, Amanda Tate Yohn and fiancé Barry Osborne, of Lewistown, and April Tate Huffnagle, of Burnham. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Bailee, Charli, and Skylar Zendt; Jayna and K. Keefer; and "her girl" Adalyn Yohn, as well as her beloved dog, Luke.

She also leaves behind her mother, Clara V. Smith, of Reedsville, and sisters Cathy Forsythe, of Lewistown, and Nancy Ferster and her husband Kurt, of State College.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother- and father-in-law, Lee and Dorene Tate; brothers-in-law Rodney Tate, Andy Tate, and Ed Forsythe, Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Dawn Tate, along with many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was a graduate of the 1972 class of Kishacoquillas High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, Mimi, and friend.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville. There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Church Hill Cemetery.
