Victor Brooks Obituary
Victor Dewitt Brooks, 87, of Folkston, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was born in Folkston, Georgia on November 30, 1935 to the late P.G. Brooks and Ila Herrin Brooks. Victor was active in Sherwood Forest Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings; Bill, Irene, Kathleen, Flo, Woodrow, Guy, Eldo, Pauline, Devoy, Eula, Ora, Gene, and Alma.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; Fay Dell Dixon Brooks, 2-children; Brenda (Tim) Redfern, and Stephen (Wendy) Brooks, 6-grandchildren; Vicki (Chris) Owens, Joey (Laila) Redfern, Allen (Landis) Redfern, Michael (Danny) Brooks, Thomas (Krista) Brooks, and Nicholas Brooks, 9-great-grandchildren; McKenzie (Jeremy), Reagan, Kylee, Brianna, Madison, Ryan, Rachel, Christian, and Cambria, 1-brother; Glynn (Rosa Mae) Brooks, and 1-sister; June King.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home. A service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church of Folkston with Dr. Randy Jacoby officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery at 2:00PM. Pallbearers will be AJ Geiger, Brian Drury, David Dixon, Keith Brooks, Patrick Brooks, Kelly Brooks, Thomas Brooks, and Gary Brooks.
