Victor Higinio Capunay Jr., 58, of Zanesville died at 7:46 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

He was born on Tuesday, June 20, 1967, in Queens, NY, the son of the late Victor Higinio Capunay Sr. and Patricia Hoover Capunay.

Victor was known by many as the "Life of the Party" and could always find a friend wherever he went- no seriously, he knew everyone. A loving father, brother and son, Victor was also a devoted employee, with 25 years at Linn Engineering, and 5 years as a "Right of Way" agent for AEP. Victor was an avid sports fan, proudly rooting for Ohio State, the Cincinnati Bengals, and his beloved New York Yankees. His love of sports carried into his personal life where he dedicated 25 years to coaching youth league baseball, softball, t-ball and basketball. "Play hard, no excuses!" was his motto and if you were a kid on Vic's team, you'll never forget it.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison (Eddie Galewood) Capunay; two grandchildren, Wylder Galewood and June Galewood; three sisters, Patty (Steve) Thomas, Nicole (Greg) Bennett and Jennifer Capunay; a brother Scott Capunay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was preceded in death by Parents and his beloved dog, Max.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Terrence Brown officiating.

The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville, is in charge of the arrangements. To share memories and condolences with Victor's family please visit www.BryanHardwickFH.com.
