Victor Chuka Obituary
Victor was born on March 25, 1926 in Vojvodince, Serbia, a son of Nicolai and Marta (Banu) Chuka.
Victor came to Warren in 1961. He worked for Hank Brothers Construction Company for ten years and then went on to work for Ryan Homes Construction Final Inspection for 21 years, retiring in 1991.
Outside of work, Victor was a faithful member of Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church, where he served as a cantor since 1950. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and carpentry work. His life was his family; his heritage, Romanian; his country, Romania.
Victor will always be remembered by his son, Nelo (Patricia) Chuka; grandchildren, Victor Chuka, Neil (Heather) Chuka and David Chuka; great grandchildren, Matthew, Aubrey, Kaylee, Samuel and Ava Chuka; niece, Amalia Zivku; great niece, Victori and great nephew, Timothy.
Besides his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Maria "Mary" (Laza) Chuka: son, Simion Chuka and sister, Victoria Balea.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Victor on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 10 to 10:30am at Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church, 1836 North Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483.
A Funeral Service will follow at 10:30am at the church and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Resurrection Romanian Orthodox Church, 1836 North Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483, in Victor's name.
