Victor A. Clay passed away in his home on January 24, 2026. He was born in Chillicothe Missouri September 1, 1960 A man of the woods and the water, Victor was defined by his adventurous spirit and his "maker’s soul.

Raised in Richmond, Missouri, Victor spent his youth with his grandmother, Ethel Lola Clark. He was a true outdoorsman who loved camping on riverbanks and fishing the Missouri River. A gifted artisan, Victor was rarely without a piece of wood to whittle; he took great pride in hand-carving cane poles for his sisters and custom handles for his Grandpa Clark’s blades.

Victor’s journey took him from the mountains to the Oregon coast, where he shared many adventures. He will be remembered as a steady "big brother" who looked out for his siblings and a man who found peace in the simple beauty of nature.

Victor is survived by his daughter, **Alexis LaBlue**; his siblings, Jackie Oliver Clay, Lola Carolyn Jane Clay, Belinda Joanne Clay, and Joren Alone Clay; and his extended family. He also leaves behind many people in **Kansas City** who deeply loved him, and he truly appreciated the friendship and support of each and every one of them.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, **Jevin Clay**; his father, **Jackie A. Clay**; his mother, **Ruth Carolyn Clay**; his **Grandpa and Grandma Jewell**; and many other beloved family members, friends, and his cherished dogs Rose and Mo.
