Victor J. Girouard

Victor Joseph Girouard, born July 28, 1937, in Saint-Paul, New Brunswick, Canada, was an adventurous soul who brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. Known for his quick wit and contagious sense of humor, Victor had a knack for making people laugh, even in the most challenging circumstances. His love for life was contagious, and his love for his family was endless. A loving husband, caring father, and a doting grandfather, Victor's thoughtful nature and unwavering support made him a pillar of strength to his loved ones.

Victor was a hardworking man of commendable diligence. He spent his career as a factory worker in the manufacturing industry, retiring from Baker School & Office Specialties in 1991. His work ethic was unmatched, a virtue he passed down to his children and grandchildren. An avid outdoors man, Victor's adventurous spirit took him to the heart of nature, where he found peace and serenity. His love for playing corn-hole and tending to his truck were some of his favorite pastimes. He also had a special place in his heart for his birthplace, Canada, and his home in Athol, Massachusetts, where he created countless memories.

Victor is survived by his loving wife Micheline Girouard, his devoted children, Denise (Tom) King, Marcel (Lisa) Girouard, his caring brother, Leandre Girouard, and sister, Noella Saulnier. He will also be forever remembered by his cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Andrew) Fulghum, Andrew King. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Clorise and Emerse Girouard, and siblings, Gerald, Paul, Ulisse, Aldorie Girouard, and Jeanine Boucher.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Immaculate, 192 School St. Athol, MA 01331 in Victor's name.

A visitation for Victor will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, Massachusetts, 01364, beginning at 10:00am until 12:00pm. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:00pm.

Victor's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the joy of laughter. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
