Victor Clay Hatcher, 53, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Monday, October 17, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on February 2, 1958 in Owensboro to the late Elza Clay and Mary Hatcher. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Hall Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed Nascar and drag racing, antique cars, coaching youth sports and collecting H.O. trains and hot wheels. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hatcher; two daughters, Emily Anne Hatcher and Sarah Elizabeth Hatcher both of Owensboro; his son, Zackery Clay Hatcher of Owensboro; the mother of his children, Irene Hatcher; five step-grandchildren, Elton Smith and Logan, Ryan, Justin and Jordan Lamb; his brother, Rick Hatcher of Owensboro and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222 or to the Humane Society, 3101 W. Second Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
