Victor Joseph Sukkar

Victor Joseph Sukkar, born August 25, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Mary (Hayek) Sukkar, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A man of deep Catholic faith, Victor lived his life with kindness, energy, and joy. He loved being around people and could strike up a conversation with anyone. His warm smile and friendly nature made everyone feel welcome.

Victor was happiest when surrounded by his family-especially his three daughters, who were the pride and joy of his life. Later in life, he fulfilled his dream of owning a boat, not because he loved being on the water, but because it gave him the perfect excuse to spend time with his family. Those days on the boat created some of his most cherished memories.

He loved cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Lions and watching golf-always quick with his own commentary from the couch. Victor was also active and full of life, enjoying daily walks, bike rides, and playing softball and golf regularly. When he spent winters in Florida, his favorite thing to do was take long walks on the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun on his face and the sand beneath his feet. The sunshine truly matched his personality-bright, warm, and full of life.

Victor is lovingly remembered by his daughters Lynda (Steve) Tocco, Patricia (Edward) Speare, and Maria (Mark) Jarecki; his cherished grandchildren Kailey and Melissa Aliotta, and Joseph Jarecki; his brothers George (the late Marie), his late sister Beverly (the late Marcello) Rossi, and James (Amelia) Sukkar whom he was very close too; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.

Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the service to begin at 11:00 a.m.
