Dr. Victor Edward Terrana, 78, of Newberry, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
He was born on October 13, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a son of the late Michael Woodrow Terrana and the late Helen Veronica Sawicki.
Affectionately known as "Vic", who was by many things a gifted and talented Mathematician and Professor in Mathematics and Computer Science at Newberry College. Vic obtained his Doctorate in Mathematics at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. He was a part of several clubs and memberships within the community, which included, the Newberry Rotary Club, the Newberry Historical Society, the Newberry Republican Party and was also a member of the Pistol Club and on the Newberry County Planning and Commission Board. You could often find him selling knives at various gun shows.
Vic had a fond appreciation for all sorts of gadgets, trinkets, puzzles and above all loved problem solving. He enjoyed traveling with his dear wife, especially when venturing out to sea on cruises. Vic's most memorable vacation spot was to Nassau; the place where he and his wife traveled to on their honeymoon.
Vic, a genuine, kind and often funny charismatic person, lived his life with a message that conveyed to always give from the heart. Over the course of his life, he was always most proud of his family, especially his two boys and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Margaret "Marge" Terrana; sons, Karl Terrana and Tony Terrana; grandchildren, Carmen and Ethan Terrana; special family, Veronica Gomez; brother, Terry Terrana (Clara); sister-in-law, Susie Beardsley (Gary); nieces, Amanda Acevedo, Joy Beardsley, Janette Masterson, Kimberly Kennedy and Tami Terrana; and nephew, Adam Beardsley.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Terrana, and nephew, Terry Scott Terrana.

Margaret, i am so sorry for your loss. We had so many good times as high school friends. Victor was my best friend, i even went to Rochester, NY with his family our senior year. Do you remember your boxing gloves? So sorry I couldn't make the reunions. Victor was my Best Man! Again, sorry for your loss and my loss!
