Victoria Fernandez "Vicki" Berg

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Aunt "Vicki" Victoria Fernandez Berg passed away peacefully at home due to a short illness on April 9, 2024. She was 84 years old. Victoria was born in Zoogocho, Oaxaca, Mexico on January 1, 1940, to Narciso Lazaro Fernandez and Isabel Santibanes Rios.
She moved to California in her 20's and later moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1973. She became an American citizen in 1986.
Victoria worked at Lamb Weston as a general laborer for 28 years, retiring in 2005. She was fully retired when she moved to Springfield, Oregon in 2007.
Vicki was an independent lady who always kept busy. She was an avid walker all her life and was also a fan of riding the bus. Our Mom embraced the Catholic church with open arms, making church a priority. She liked crocheting and taking care of the yard. In her earlier years she enjoyed taking her children to the movies, making homemade pies, pizza, breads, vegetable gardening, and canning. Victoria's tortillas will be ever-so-missed, but most importantly will be her invaluable wisdom and helpful nature. We will always remember you sweet Victoria!
She is survived by her children Adelina Mendoza Fernandez, Trudi Berg, Rick Berg, her 8 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and brothers.
