Vicki Carleton, born on June 5, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, departed this life on October 6, 2024, in Bixby, Oklahoma. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Vicki was the cherished daughter of Bob Dirck and Elnora (Parsons) Dirck, who preceded her in death. She carried forward the values instilled in her by her loving parents throughout her life.
Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Pat” Carleton, whom she loved and shared a beautiful life with for 49 years. She leaves behind an enduring legacy as a dedicated mother to her three children: Angela Schottel and her husband Dusty, Chrissy Connor and her husband Brian, and Scott Carleton.
Vicki also took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to her six grandchildren: Ian Schottel, Jenna Boyle and her husband Hunter, Nathan Cole Connor and his wife Landis, Victoria Shea Haynes and her husband Stetson, Anthony Cole Carleton, and Barrett Carleton. Her heart swelled with joy as she welcomed her great-grandson McCoy Haynes into the family.
Vicki shared a special bond with her sisters, Barbara Husbeck and her husband Don, and Sherri Conklin and her husband Jeff. She enjoyed a close relationship with her sister-in-law Kay Williams, who preceded her in death, and her brother-in-law, Gene Williams. Vicki deeply cherished her time with all her nieces and nephews and their children, as well.
A creative spirit, Vicki loved scrapbooking, channeling her vibrant personality and memories into art that brought joy and connection to her family and friends. Her love and joy in preserving moments in time and celebrating life is reflected in the beauty of her scrapbooks and in some of her dearest friendships.
