Age 72. She was preceded in death by daughter, Antionette Faulkner Plater; and parents, Thelma and William Faulkner. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ira Combs; children, Jimeta Faulkner Prater (Scott), and Caleb Combs (Samantha); brothers, Robert Faulkner (Brenda), Thomas Faulkner (Cynthia), and Maurice Faulkner; sisters, Julia Faulkner, and Patricia Sheppard; grandchildren, Kaley and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Kylen and Kenzley; many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Thursday, June 9th, from 5-7pm at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, June 10th, 12Noon at Mt. Calvary Church, 5112 Ames Ave. BURIAL in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Combs, was a whirlwind when I met her at Jeremiah Home For Children back in the 1980's. I used to work for her Husband Ira at the T.V. Studio, and Vickki and Mrs. A. made sure that I did not fall by the wayside, Back then I knew her as the Doctor Reverend Victoria Combs, she had one hip and was in a wheelchair and was not in the least deterred by it. I learned a lot from her; I will miss her even more. The world is diminished from the loss of her.

I have wonderful memories of Vicky from so many years ago. Above all, Vicky had a strong faith in both God and family. Vicky was an important part of my life a long time ago. She truly had compassion for many, and touched the lives of many.
