Victoria (Vickie) Suzette Hillman was born on August 19, 1947, in Smith County, Kansas, and passed away at her home in Osborne, Kansas October 4, 2025.
Vickie spent most of her life in the Osborne area, though as a young girl her family moved back and forth between Kansas and California. During her college years in southern California, Vickie was an active athlete, playing on the softball team and participated in basketball.
After graduating, Vickie pursued her passion for photography, capturing countless memories at weddings, reunions, and senior photo sessions. Alongside her mother, she hosted many community dinners and gatherings at their large family home, which featured a special event room for such occasions. She also worked for a time with the U.S. Postal Service in Smith Center, Kansas.
In her later years, Vickie developed a love for antiques, often attending estate sales and events in search of unique finds. She also cherished hosting family events-especially the Easter egg hunts for the younger children that became a beloved family tradition.
Vickie had a deep love for animals and was known for keeping several horses-and, memorably, her pet peacocks, whose distinctive calls could be heard across Osborne.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Tonja Marie Boal; her parents, Lawrence and Helen (Bargman) Hillman; and her sisters, Janice (Hillman) Weese, Jean Hillman, and Carole (Hillman) Hurley.
Vickie is survived by her sister, Joan (Hillman) Grieve, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Vickie will be remembered for her detail in photography and other items she pursued.
