Victoria Marinelli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Malloy & Son Funeral Home - Galveston on Jan. 13, 2026.
Victoria Louise Marinelli, lovingly known as "GG," was born on June 9, 1926, in Galveston, Texas, where she was born, raised, and deeply rooted throughout her life. On January 9, 2026, Victoria passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion to family and community.
Victoria retired from the Bank of Galveston after many years of dedicated service, known for her integrity, kindness, and strong work ethic. In her retirement, her greatest joy was her family, especially her role as GG, a title she cherished. She was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter, Kelly O'Donnell, and Kelly's husband, Thomas, who were honored to serve as her caregivers.
Victoria's heart belonged to her great-grandsons, Ethan and Shane, whose laughter and joy brought her immeasurable happiness. She especially loved watching them play baseball, a pastime that held a special place in her heart and was also shared with her late husband, Felix Marinelli. Baseball was more than a game to Victoria, it was a tradition, a connection, and a source of cherished memories.
A proud Galveston native, Victoria was a devoted volunteer to numerous Galveston charities, always giving selflessly of her time and talents. Her compassion and servant's heart touched many lives.
The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Debbie Marinelli, her daughter-in-law and Vicki Fertitta her goddaughter for their loving support and assistance in Victoria's care, as well as to all who offered prayers, kindness, and comfort during this time.
Victoria's family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, January 16, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 am followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Victoria's honor to League City Little League, celebrating her lifelong love of baseball and the joy it brought to her family.
Victoria will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her grace, generosity, and the profound love she had for her family and community.
