Victoria Thees Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shook-Farmer Funeral Home Roseland, nj on Mar. 31, 2026.
Victoria P. Thees, of Roseland, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026.

Born and raised in South Orange, Victoria attended Our Lady of the Valley School before continuing her education at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Victoria built an impressive and distinguished career as an executive secretary, serving high-level executives across several prominent companies, including Coca-Cola, Cartier, and Schenley. For a period of time, she also worked closely with famed singer Connie Francis. Known for her poise, intelligence, and commanding presence, Victoria was a natural leader who left a lasting impression wherever she went.

Following her years in the corporate world, she transitioned into real estate, where she enjoyed a successful second career with Weichert Realtors in West Caldwell, forming many lasting relationships along the way.

Victoria was a longtime and active member of Essex Fells Country Club, where she fully embraced club life. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and participating in the club's book group. In the winter months, she found joy on the ski slopes, while summers were best spent by the ocean. Traveling was one of her greatest passions, and she relished every opportunity to explore new places.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence S. Thees, Jr.; her second husband, Red Macken; her parents, Almon and Mary Page; and her brother-in-law, Jack Kuhn.

Victoria is survived by her beloved children, Ginny T. Pivko and her husband, Neil; Laurence S. Thees III and his wife, Wendy; and Matthew Thees and his wife, Michele. She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Matthew Thees II, Derek Pivko, Laurence S. Thees IV, Thomas J. Thees, Patrick J. Thees, John Anshan, Jessica Anshan, and Katie Makin, and a cherished great-grandmother to Skylar, Lexie, Laurence V, and Cameron. She is also survived by her dear sister, Barbara Kuhn.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Victoria's memory may be made to Grace Hospice.

Funeral services were held privately under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home, Roseland, New Jersey. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.farmerfh.com.
