On Thursday, October 2, 2025, our loving and beautiful mother, Vikki Lee Heimsoth, affectionately known as Honey Mo, passed away just two days before her 80th birthday. She left this world surrounded by her daughters.

Vikki was born on October 4, 1945, in Denver, Colorado, to Ivan E. Heimsoth and Norma Lee (Leonard) Heimsoth. She spent her childhood in Powell and Riverton, Wyoming, graduating from Riverton High School, where she formed cherished memories and friendships. In 1965, her father, Ivan, purchased a lumber yard in Cheyenne, which became Capital Lumber Company. Vikki dedicated herself to the family business, working alongside her father and siblings for three decades.

Her compassionate nature led her to volunteer with Youth Alternatives, an organization dedicated to supporting young people. This meaningful experience inspired her to further her education and pursue and earn her associate’s degree in social work.

She always had a deep interest in and respect for Native American culture. Her commitment to honoring these traditions was reflected in her longstanding volunteer work with the Cheyenne Frontier Days Indian Committee. Over the course of 17 years, she devoted her time and energy to supporting the committee’s mission. Her dedication and service were recognized when she was honored as Volunteer of the Year.

She also played an active role in the Cheyenne Christmas Parade when it first began in 1990. Being part of such a magical and beautiful event brought her great joy.

If Vikki was not at home, her family and friends knew she could be found on the tennis court or the golf course, as she enjoyed both sports throughout her life. Her enthusiasm for tennis led her to work at the Cheyenne Tennis Club, in addition to tennis, she was a member of the Cheyenne Airport Golf Club.

Vikki is preceded in death by her father Ivan, and her mother Lee, as well as her sisters-in-law, Jerry Heimsoth and Ronda Heimsoth.

She is survived by her daughters Dawn (Paul) Cortez and Heather (Matt) Robinson; her granddaughters and great granddaughters who she loved so much; Taylor (Josh) Fearing, Reese (Baylor) Smith, and Lynette Robinson; great granddaughters, Louisa and Emilia Fearing; brothers Ed Heimsoth and Rick Heimsoth; sister Judi (Ken) Just; and nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Primrose, as well as Davis Hospice and Palliative Care. Their compassion and attentive care during this difficult time have meant so much to us. We are deeply appreciative of their support and kindness.

By request, no service will be held. In honoring the memory of Honey Mo, her family encourages everyone to embrace their loved ones and create memories that will last a lifetime.
