Diane Heimsoth, 78, of Sedalia, MO, went home to Jesus on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at St. Louis de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis, MO. A Memorial Service will be held at Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129 on Friday, January 9th at 11am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the service. A visitation and committal service will be planned in Concordia, MO in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Concordia, MO to the "Orlyn and Diane Heimsoth Family Gift Fund." Diane was a loving wife to Orlyn Heimsoth (husband of 55 years); devoted mother of Andrew Heimsoth of Camdenton, MO and Heather (Timothy) Liebnau of St. Louis, MO; dear sister of Thomas W. Griffith and sister-in-law of Melba Keele, Carole Puckett, Linda White, Wayne Heimsoth, Lynette Schulz, Rev. Jeffrey Heimsoth; and has numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was born to Sterling and Esther (Brinkoetter) Griffith on January 21, 1947, in Sedalia, MO. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sedalia, MO. Diane attended Benton County R-2 High School, where she met Orlyn. She attended St. Paul's Junior College, then went on to graduate from Concordia College in River Forest, Chicago, IL with a degree in elementary education. Orlyn and Diane married at Trinity Church in Cole Camp on June 2, 1968. Diane led a full and blessed life as a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She has blessed countless others through her many years of teaching. Diane loved music and was a member of Joyful Sounds choir and hand bells. She also enjoyed working with children in the His Little Lambs program at St. Paul's. Diane volunteered and served at the Concordia Fire and Ambulance Department. Diane also was a helping hand at Harvesters and Orphan Grain Train. Diane enjoyed gardening, crocheting, growing beautiful flowers, spending time with friends and family, and loved getting the opportunity to dance with Orlyn on special occasions. Diane had a strong faith in God. She used her talents and gifts to share the love of Jesus and help her friends, family, and those in her community. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
