Vikram Nath Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by B.C. Bailey Funeral Home - Wallingford on Dec. 29, 2021.
WALLINGFORD - Vikram "Vik" Nath, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on December 29, 2021, with his family by his side. He is survived by his devoted wife, Shawn A. Newton, and his two loving children, Anjali and Archana Nath.
Vik was a true character and a man of many facets. The outside world was blessed with his light, his fun spirit, and his love. He spent his life supporting and bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Within, he was deeply spiritual. While he did not broadcast his faith, he was steadfast in his beliefs and stayed close to God through daily prayers and the actions of his life with those he loved. He was also full of fire and could burn bright and hot.
Vik's roots are deep and far reaching. He began his life in Mumbai, India and he and his family lived all over the world with his father leading the journey. His family and childhood friends remember Vik's free and mischievous spirit. Even then, he could not be forgotten. After college, he came to America and started his career and his family with the mother of his children, Serita Nath, first in Pennsylvania and then settling in Westchester, New York. In his career, Vik developed and managed IT networks all over the world. In retirement, he spent many of his days dominating the tennis courts with his fierce serves, topspin, and slices, always making sure to elicit laughter with his jokes between sets.
Vik's life had many winding roads through which he always worked to find more meaning and peace. Along this journey, Vik met his wife, Shawn. They spent the next 27 years of Vik's life as true partners, lifting each other up in good times and bad. Shawn's down to earth persona anchored Vik's larger than life character. They spoke to each other through art and beauty and shared their love with family, friends and the many rescue animals that were able to finally find warmth and peace in their home in Connecticut.
Vik always wanted the world to be beautiful and his heart just wanted to love and to nurture. His energy could not be contained and would come bursting out of him. Every soul that crossed his path was touched by his kindness, love, and passion for life. Not one person who met Vik left without a story of both tenderness and amusement.
Vik's fire remains burning bright within us all and we will forever miss the magic of his laughter, the warmth of his smile, and the fullness of his heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation in Vik's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or their favorite charity.
A service will be held at a later date. Details will be announced accordingly and will be available online. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home of Wallingford has been entrusted with Vik's arrangements. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.BaileyCares.com.

Very sad and shocking news for all of us. Vikram was a great person, compassionate and fun loving. He acquired his morals and values from his wonderful ambitious father D. Shivnath. His mother Krishna Shivnath added to his loving and kind nature. Mom taught him how to be protective of his siblings. Vikram and his older brother Vipan Nath were like buddies. They cared for each other and Vipan was a role model to him. Vipan´s daughter Niha loved her uncle Vikram. Vikram´s sisters Mala, the physician talked almost every day. He respected her and her expertise and shared all his feelings and experiences. They had a special connection. Vikram loved his brother in law Narendra, who guided him in life´s lessons and tennis strategies. He was proud of his brother in law´s tennis profession and achievements. Vikram too achieved laurels in tennis in his community and state. Vikram loved his niece Rajshree snd nephew Rohan. Vikram cared for his other loving sisters Sangeeta , Poonam, and Rita. He spent a lot of time with his younger sister Sangeeta and her son when she lived in New York. Vikram was a great artist, tennis player and our family whiz kid. He enjoyed dancing, especially bhangra Indian dance. He loved cooking Indian traditional foods. He was compassionate towards animals snd 2 two favorite loving pets were Niki and Barney. They were his life.
Vikram traveled with his family to bagdad and then to New York, that´s when he decided to continue living in New York even though rest of the family returned to India. He frequently visited the family and he devotedly took care of mom snd his siblings. He was fun, caring and even helped us ( younger sisters) with our school homework. He was a math genius. A talented artist who´d capture the moment and bring it to life.
We miss him so much and it´s been only a week since he´s gone . Vikram will always be in our hearts . Vikram´s sudden passing away has left a void in our lives. He will greatly be missed . He is now with his parents, aunts snd his pets in Heaven. May God rest in dear soul in peace. We loved him to the moon and back . Our darling brother Vikram. Love you forever. In our heart and soul forever.

It really hurts on passing away of my brother Vikram. We had our differences BUT he still was my blood just 2 years ago on 28th December we lost our mother. I feel very very sad on his loss. Lost for words for my dear Vikram, never thought that such an active person would go away so soon. The last I spoke to him was 2 years ago when mom passed away. He was a good brother lot of memories come back. We both were well brought up. Very very sad Vik. You are with our wonderful mom and dad. RIP love you Vik.
