Just up until 3 years ago 2021 I did not know of what this gentleman did on 9/11. I did not know this occurred and how many lives this man saved. He obviously was not the guy who was drew attention to himself. Bless his heart and blessing to his family. You are truly blessed to have had such a strong man in your lives.

I have watched Boatlift over and over. Every year on 9/11 and many days in between I pull this video from YouTube and watch. What a wonderful testimony of what humanity should be. So proud he was interviewed, and could tell his story. What an inspiration to all of us.

Just watched Boatlift on YouTube and thought to myself this guy Vincent is such a real human beingthank god he was there that September day. So sad to read in the comment section that he has passed. He touched my heart and I didn’t even know him. I felt compelled to read his obituary and leave this comment. He made an impact on others in life and he’s still making an impact even in death. My deepest condolences. My heart goes out to his family. Thank you Vincent for all you did on that day you are a hero.
You said “ I have one theory in life- I never want to say the word I should havenever go through life saying you should haveif you want to do something, you do it..”..Beautiful words Captain. I will carry them with me. God Bless you.

Just watched Boatlift again today, like every year, and then hopefully searched for Vincent. So sorry to hear of his passing 2 years ago. What a wonderful man and example to his family and others. He gives me a lot of hope for humanity.

I just watched again the video so many times of all the heroes from 9/11 including this one, Mr. Vincent Ardolino. Everyone helping everyone. I am a Floridian and hearing this man speak again on how passionate he was on helping to evacuate/save so many people...I have met so many people from New York that are so passionate and so resilient so strong helping other people. Thank you Mr. Ardolino again for your selfless heroism.

Im a 6th Grade Teacher in Owosso Michigan and I have shown the 9-11 Video Boatlift in my classroom for many years. Vincent has touched and has sent a great lesson on how to live life to me every time I watch it, as well as hundreds of students that have viewed it over the last several years. A real hero and a great inspiration to others. May Vincent Rest In Peace. God bless! Your spirit will leave on every year we watch to this video to a new class:-).

My cousin Vinny was a great guy with a big heart. He was responsible for helping thousands of people get out of Manhattan on 9/11 by using his boat the Amberjack to take them out of harms way. While I have not seen him in years, I do have very fond memories of him. Prayers that he may rest in peace with my Aunt Millie and Uncle Jimmy. Prayers for his family that he leaves behind.
