Vincent Caggiula Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins & Newman Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
With profound sadness, his family announces the passing of Vincent Louis Caggiula Jr. on Dec. 16, 2025, at his home in Georgia. Known affectionately as "Chip," he was a beloved husband, father, brother, friend, whose big smiles and witty sense of humor touched countless lives. Chip left this world peacefully, and his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born on October 23, 1942, to Vincent Louis Caggiula Sr. and Thérèse (Crepeau) Caggiula, Chip lived a life defined by hard work, laughter, and an extraordinary ability to connect with others. He served in the Plymouth, N.H., unit of the National Guard from 1964 to 1968. For 33 years, he proudly served as a U.S. Customs officer, bringing integrity, dedication, and his signature outgoing spirit to every duty. His infectious smile and warm personality transformed colleagues into family and turned strangers into lifelong friends.

He is survived by his wife Rae Tyler-Caggiula and by his siblings-Pete, Suzi, Gina, Paula, Danny, Marty, Chris, Lisa, and Jon-who all shared with him a lifetime of memories. Most especially, he leaves behind his six children: Tania, Lori, Michelle, Charles, Rebecca, and Michael, to each of whom Chip was a devoted father whose pride in his children knew no bounds.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, William Caggiula.

Chip will be truly missed by his family, his many dear friends, and all whose lives he touched. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we will continue to share his stories and the laughter that will echo the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Chip. You were loved beyond measure, and you will never be forgotten.
