Vincent Joseph Cavaleri was born on March 9, 1938, in Maspeth, NY, to Vincent Cavaleri and Lillian Haverly. He passed away on September 25, 2025.
Vincent is survived by his best friend and partner of 44 years, Michelle. He is predeceased by his sisters Marie and Camille, and is survived by his sisters Dorothea Cavaleri and Patricia Wachter, and his brothers Victor, John, and Verne. He was the proud father of Vincent, Marie, Julie, and Chris. Known as "Silly Grandpa," he shared laughter with his grandchildren-Daniele, John, Mikey, Nicole, Josh, Tiffany, Gina, and Talia-and as "Silly Great Grandpa," with Maxwell, Ozzie, Hunter, Nico, Gavin, Jack, Mia, Riley, and Cameron.
Vincent worked as a general contractor for over 50 years, licensed in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Washington. He retired as an inspector with the Smithtown Building Department and later served as a consultant with the South Country School District.
He loved the water, fishing off the jetties in Queens, captaining his Chris-Craft on the Great South Bay, tending to his garden, and sharing meals at his restaurant, Vincent's, in Punta Gorda, Florida.
