Vincent Cucchiarella Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. on Oct. 1, 2025.
Vincent "Jimmy" Cucchiarella It is with great love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent "Jimmy" Cucchiarella-a devoted husband, proud father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, loving uncle, and friend to many. Jimmy passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy built with the same care, dedication, and craftsmanship he poured into his 47-year career as a proud member of the Local 1 Bricklayers Union.
For 40 beautiful years, Jimmy shared his life with his loving wife and best friend, Barbara. Together, they built not just a home, but a life filled with laughter, adventures, and unwavering devotion. Whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying trips to the casino, walking along the beach, or traveling together, their bond was one of true friendship and enduring love.
One of Jimmy's greatest joys was being a father to his daughter, Breeann-"Jimmy in a skirt". The two of them shared an unshakable bond and were truly inseparable-best friends in every sense. From her earliest days to the life they shared as adults, Jimmy treasured every moment with her, offering endless love, guidance, and support. Their connection was one of the purest and most cherished parts of his life.
A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Jimmy's passion for baseball ran deep-not only as a spectator but as a player in his younger years. One of his proudest professional moments was helping to build the new Yankee Stadium, where his love for the game and his mastery of his craft came together.
Jimmy embraced life's simple pleasures-late-night cruises in his beloved Audi TT Roadster with The Temptations playing, family vacations, and time spent with his brothers, whom he deeply admired. Above all, he loved his family-his wife, daughter, son-in-law (whom he cherished as the son he never had), grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family-with the same passion and loyalty he gave to his work and to the Yankees.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara; his daughter Breeann and her husband Ray; his beloved grandchildren Justin and Ray Jr.; his brothers John (Sandy) and Lucian (Betty); Barbara's sisters Cathy (Dan) and Alice (Sue); and his best friend Louis (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jimmy was predeceased by his brother Willie (Linda) and his loving parents, John and Lucy.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held Friday August 15th from 4pm-8pm. His family asks that friends and loved ones remember him in the moments that brought him joy-whether it's watching a Yankees game, listening to Motown, sharing a laugh with someone you love, or throwing a twenty into a slot machine and hoping for that major.
