Vincent Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Lakeville on Jan. 24, 2026.
Vincent was a friend and uncle to many, "Pops" and "Gpa" to a lucky few, and a loving husband. He made it his mission to put a smile on every face he met and would go out of his way to show charity and kindness. He shaped who we became and taught us wisdom, knowledge, love, and the importance of bringing light into the lives of others.

He was born on April 11, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama, to Harry and Alma Johnson. He attended Central High School as part of the legendary Class of '69 and was accepted to Xavier University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business. Soon after, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he had the honor of serving abroad in Germany.

After completing his service, he met the love of his life in snowy Minnesota. They were soon married and, over the years, welcomed three beautiful children and four grandchildren, with two great-grandchildren on the way. He loved to travel near and far, never missing a Mardi Gras and visiting exotic places such as Paris, London, Mexico, and Jamaica. He loved action movies, James Bond being his being his favorite. He loved cooking, a skill passed down from his Grandfather. Anyone who has attended our holiday dinners can credit the delicious potato salad to him.

But the number one thing he loved to do was be there for his family. Whether it was dance recitals, pageants, graduations, Sweet 16s, birthdays, anniversaries, and so much more. He carried us through our hard times and illuminated our good times. Though his suffering has now ended, we know through God's grace his heavenly glory has begun. It is our duty and our honor to continue his legacy for generations to come.

Until we meet again.
