Vincent Charles Jones II, 53, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 12, 2020. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021, in St. Thomas and St. Denis Church, Cainhoy, at 10:30 a.m. Interment, St. Thomas and St. Denis Cemetery. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Vincent was born October 4, 1966, in Coronado, California, son of LCDR William Marcus Jones and Catherine "Kits" Smith Jones. He was a graduate of W.T. Woodson High School and the United States Merchant Marine Academy. He was an engineer at sea world-wide and served in the Naval Reserves. Vincent was a writer and inventor and was a member of the sailing team at the US Merchant Marine Academy. Vincent is survived by his mother, Kits Jones of Charleston, SC; sister, Catherine DeVeaux Jones of Greely, CO; brother, William Marcus Jones II of Boulder, CO; niece, Elizabeth Jane Jones of Denver, CO; two nephews, James Adams Martinez of Washington State and William Marcus Jones III of Fort Collins, CO; two great-nieces, Kaylin and Madylin Martinez and great-nephew Elijah James Martinez. He was predeceased by his father, William Marcus Jones; his grandparents, Robert Atmar Smith and Catherine Whaley Holt, Vincent Charles Jones and Margaret Alene Zuger of Washington State.
