Vince "Vinny" Krenz

January 1, 1965 – August 27, 2025

Vince "Vinny" Krenz passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2025, at the age of 60. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and deep faith. Vince was preceded in death by his father, John Krenz. Vince is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; his children, Michael (Kyle) and Amanda (Austin); and his cherished grandsons, Louie, Hank, and Connor, who lovingly called him "Papa."

Born on January 1, 1965, Vince dedicated 35 years of his life to a career in Special Investigations with the Minnesota Department of Corrections. He was known as a diligent, reliable, and respected professional, but more than that, he was a man who always gave his all-both at work and at home. Never taking shortcuts, and always doing the right thing.

At home, Vince was rarely found sitting still. Whether he was working on a project around the house or up at the family cabin, he approached everything with care and purpose. The cabin was his favorite place to be, especially when surrounded by his family. His love for them was unmatched, and he made sure they always knew it by giving the best hugs.

Vince's faith in God was a guiding light in his life. He constantly sought to grow spiritually and live a life aligned with his values. His quiet strength, loyalty, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sandberg Funeral Home in North St. Paul. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

To Lisa, Vince's sister Laura, and the entire Krenz family - my sincere condolences and prayers for all of you. I'm so sorry for your loss. Vince will really be missed. As a classmate at JHS and as he was later in life, Vince was always kind, friendly, and one of the classiest guys around. Definitely an inspiration in how to live life as a really good person. Pat's picture that he posted brought back a lot of memories!
May God wrap his arms of comfort around all of you,
Greg Johnson, JHS '83

I met Vince for the first time back in 1985 while visiting Lisa. Lisa cooked a delicious spaghetti dinner for all of us. After talking for a while, it was clear, Lisa was dating an extremely nice guy. After all these years his demeanor hadn´t changed. I´ve come to know him as a devoted husband and father who never hesitated to help anyone in need. He was also a super "Papa" to his grandsons. To Lisa and family- you have the best guardian angel in heaven.
