Vincent Ross (Papa) Langley of Ashland City, TN, was born on June 3, 1932, and passed away September 19, 2024.
Vincent was a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, businessman and farmer. He loved being outdoors, cutting grass and gardening, as well as spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Delois; grandson, Bailey Lawrence; granddaughter, Brittany; daughter-in-law, Montie; parents, Andrew and Velma Langley; brother, Rodger; sisters, Elizabeth Lavender and Margie Hand.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Langley and Mitchell (Connie) Langley; daughters, Beverly (Bob) Armstrong and Michelle (David) Clements; son-in-law Kenneth Woodard; four sisters, Lora Eakes, June Akins, Delana Sanders and Darlene Corderio; one sister-in-law, Ruth Langley; special niece, Lyndal Corbitt; 16 grandchildren, Melissa Langley (William) Eslick, Amy (Billy) Harris, Andy (Misty) Langley, Crystal (Eric) Staggs, Chris (Hillary) Langley, Mitchell (Mikayla) Langley, Jessie (Jason) Pennington, Cody (Stefanie) Morgan, Matthew (Amanda) Woodard, Cody (Dakotah) Woodard, Clark, Tommy, John D., and Derek; 18 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Kassidy, Sierra, Ethen, Presley (Tyler), Madalyn, Eryn, MaKayla (Daniel), Marley, Cope, Reese, Ruger, Rubi, Hunter, Harper, Jackson, Brittany and Alan Ross; 1 great-great-granddaughter, Eden; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Hershel Temple officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 12noon until 6pm and resume on Sunday before the service from 11am until service hour of 2pm.
