Vincent "Vinnie" McClellan

McClellan, Vincent “Vinnie” age 81 of Brooklyn, MI passed away Friday, November 12, 2004. He was born July 15, 1923 in Detroit the son of Ives and Elizabeth (Bennett) McClellan. He married his high school sweetheart: Mary Brown on June 19, 1948 in Detroit and she survives. Besides his wife of 56 years, Vinnie is also survived by his daughter: Marguerite (John) Christie of Wixom; grandchildren: Matthew (Shelley) Williams of Clarkston, Robert (Janet) Williams of Fairfax, VA and their son: Connor Williams, Vincent Williams of Madison Heights, Stephen Williams also of Madison Heights and 1 sister: Sister Mary McClellan. Vinnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Ives P. McClellan. He served our country in the Army and retired from Ford Motor Company. Vinnie was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cement City and also the American Legion Post #315 in Brooklyn and Past Commander Roose Vanker Post #286. A Celebration of Vinnie’s life will take place on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 beginning with prayers from the Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel in Brooklyn at 9:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joe’s Shrine Catholic Church in Brooklyn. Memorial contributions may be given to the Penrickton Center for Blind Children, 26530 Eureka, Taylor, MI 48180. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home where the family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. and Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. with an evening prayer service at 7:30 P.M.
