Jorietta H. McClellan

Funeral service for Jorietta H. McClellan 94, will be Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 1 pm at the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Arthur Cottingham, officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. McClellan passed away on January 18, 2026 at NHC Healthcare, Anniston. Mrs. McClellan's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. McClellan received her early education in Bullock County, AL She later graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Montgomery, AL She continued her education at Alabama State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in an impressive three years. Mrs. McClellan dedicated more than 30 years of her life to the field of education. She was a passionate and devoted educator who believed in the power of knowledge and the importance of nurturing young minds. She was a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church for several decades. Her service included roles such as Librarian, Announcing Secretary, and other areas. Survivors include her son: Garland D. McClellan, Jr.; her sisters: Katie B. Scott and Theresa Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, friends and Mt. Liberty Baptist Church family, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Hill, her husband, Garland D. McClellan, Sr., her brothers, Charles H. Banks and Harold Anderson. Anniston Funeral Service Jeffrey C.
