1953 – 2025 Vincent "Vince" C. Olguin, age 72, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. A celebration of Vince's life will be held at a later date. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Anjeanette Olguin; parents, Vicente and Elsie Sanchez Olguin; sisters, Dolores Espinosa and Marilyn Gurule; brother-in-law, Leon Prevot; and in-laws, Narciso and Leonor "Nora" Ulivarri. Vince is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Sharon Olguin; children, Fernandez, Reina, Lauren (Dominic), and Eloisa (Devon); sister, Elsie Prevot; brothers-in-law, Joe Gurule and Willie Espinosa; son-in-law, Nick Schmelz; daughter-in-law, Megan Louise; and beloved grandchildren, Aryan, Mylah, Chilee, Maddy, Dante, and Yolanda. He was born in Belen, NM, on May 30, 1953. Vince graduated from Belen High School in 1971, going on to earn his bachelor's and master's degree in the arts at New Mexico Highlands University. He married the love of his life, Sharon, on February 11, 1984, and together they built a beautiful life raising their five children. Vince, a passionate sports fan, cheered faithfully for the Belen Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Albuquerque Dukes, and New Mexico Lobos, often attending sports events. He found joy in spending time outdoors, participating in activities such as, fishing, coaching little league, and hosting barbeques for friends and family in the Summer, to name a few. Vince cherished driving his grandson to and from school and any quality time he could spend with his grandchildren. He was a man of steadfast routine; his mornings began early, with a cup of coffee and a donut from Dunkin' Donuts with the sports radio. Above all, Vince was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His presence, guidance, and love, will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family of Vincent C. Olguin wish to express their deepest gratitude for all the expressions of love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
