Vincent Richard Perrotta, 73, passed away, unexpectedly, on August 18, 2025. He was a beloved brother, uncle, friend, and life partner. He was born in Staten Island, New York in 1951. He grew up in New Jersey before later making Florida his home.
He retired from the Volusia County Public Works System, where he was known for his dedication and the warmth he brought to those around him.
Vincent will be deeply missed by his loving life partner, Cheryl Becker; his brother, Albert J. Perrotta (Rhonda); his sisters, Caroline Perrotta M., Marie Thulin and Joanne Sargent (Michael). He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews: Albert J. Perrotta II (Katlin), Breonna Marie Perrotta, Christy Marie Pettyjohn, Michael Pettyjohn (Nicole), Joseph Sargent (Ellie), his great niece Celeste, and great nephew Caesar.
Vincent had a jolly spirit and a generous heart. In his retirement years, he found joy searching for treasures at antique shops and flea markets, woodworking and crafting, and collecting military memorabilia, especially historical aviation. He also loved the ocean and his rescue dogs, Rocky and Happy.
Vincent will be remembered for his kind soul and the love he shared so freely with his family and friends. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A public Celebration of Life will be held by the family to honor him on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 2-4 PM. It will be held at Balwin Brothers Funeral Home 1 Causeway North, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
