June 13, 1954 - August 1, 2025
Vinny Schiraldi passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 1, 2025, at the age of 71.
Vinny is survived by his loving wife, Karen, and his beloved children, Christine Faria, (John), Donna Schiraldi, Vincent Schiraldi Jr. (Anna) and stepdaughter, Kimberly Delgreco (Robert). He is also survived his four grandsons, Justin Schiraldi, Michael Faria, Jonathan Goree and Jake Goree, as well as his sisters, Debbie and Emma Schiraldi. He was a native of Bergen County, N.J., until he retired from the Fair Lawn Board of Education, where he was the head of transportation. After retirement, seven years ago, he relocated to Galloway, N.J., with his wife, Karen. He became an active member of The Four Seasons community, even serving as an officer on the Board of Trustees. He was the #1 Yankee fan since he was "5 years" old and made it his business to tell everyone, including his friends at JDs Pub, down here in Phillie Country. He loved his annual family vacation trips to Wildwood every summer and frequent trips to Atlantic City where he loved to play those slots.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E Great Creek Rd, Galloway, N.J. 08205. A Service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Cancer Society or Tomorrows Children's Fund. Vinnie was a friend for a long time. He was part of my family. He and I had a lot in common, Go Yankees! Little did I know til later on, his wife Karen and I graduated FLHS in the same year. You never know how meeting a good friend have a special bond with something in common. My condolences to Vinnie's family. May you rest in peace.
