Vinita Ann Harris, a lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the age of 82. Vinita was born on March 13, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Earnest Douglas and Mary Anita (Rogers) Campbell. She grew up in Shawnee and was a graduate of Shawnee High School.
Vinita was a dedicated caregiver. She raised five children and loved them all dearly. She regularly kept a beautiful flower garden. Vinita enjoyed doing arts and crafts projects and always enjoyed a day of garage sales. Vinita was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Vinita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert William “Bob” Harris; her son, Robert Thomas; two sisters, Mary Campbell and Rita Harris and her best friend, James “Jim” Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Loretta Keys; Bonita Mikeska; James Thomas and Gary Thomas; her sister, Francis Moore; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
