Viola "Sue Temple" Badgley

Viola Sue Badgley, (known to most as "Sue") 80, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 after a brief illness. Sue was born on April 2, 1945 to her parents, Fred Temple and Sammie Eaton.

Sue worked for The Sisters of St. Joseph Center in Tipton as a nurse's aide for 30 years before retiring. Her role in nursing perfectly suited her because of her loving and caring nature. She had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, and her kindness drew many friends into her life. Sue was known for being warm and chatty, always willing to pause and spend time talking with others.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including listening to music, playing Farkle, growing beautiful flowers, and working crossword puzzles. Her daughter was absolutely precious to her, and becoming a grandmother brought her immense joy.

Above all, Sue was a woman of deep faith. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life and in the encouragement she offered to so many around her. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her caring heart, and the love she shared so freely.

Those left to carry on Sue's legacy of love are her daughter, Misty Landers; grandchildren, Eli Shaul, Kaden Landers, Alyvia Landers; brother, Tom Faux; best friend, Sharon Teuscher; as well as many more amazing friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ron; and sister, Olene.

A funeral service celebrating Sue's life will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton, with Rev. Dr. Robb Roloff officiating. Visitation for family & friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Tipton's Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Sue's honor may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tipton. Envelopes will be available during visitation time at the funeral home.
